Senior Automation Engineer – Robotics Expert

Description

The SHL Engineering Solutions unit in Taiwan is currently looking for an experienced automation engineer with a strong background in robotics and factory automation who is looking to take on challenging tasks in an innovative development team.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will drive innovative automation projects and application studies for robotic system independently
  • You will integrate advanced robotic systems into existing or newly developed factory automation settings
  • You will program advanced robotic systems and support their installation in our facility
  • You will provide technical consultancy to other departments for various projects involving advanced robotics and automation
  • You will provide training on robotics to your team members and other departments
  • You will interact regularly with other departments in the organization, as well as with suppliers and customers at a technical level

Your Qualifications

  • BA/MA degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Degree program and/or work experience overseas (Europe, Australia, Americas) is an asset
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in development and integration of robotic systems in industrial automation settings
  • Experience with common Robot Platforms (e.g. Staubli, FANUC, ABB, Epson, etc.)
  • Experience with programming robots; working knowledge of PLC’s (preferably Siemens) and factory automation
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations for automated systems (e.g. CE)
  • Experience with collaborative robots and related safety standards is an asset
  • Previous exposure to highly regulated industries (medical, pharmaceutical) and knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. ISO13485, GMP, FDA CFR21) is an asset
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
  • Diligent, reliable and target oriented working attitude
  • Ability to pursue and drive projects independently
