Swecard, a Swedish based company, has formed a strategic alliance with manufacturing experts at SHL Group, for the global production, marketing and sales of Swecard’s display card products. This recently signed agreement will bring production capacity to Swecard and an exclusive product range to the SHL Group for a market that represents 1.5 billion units annually according to Eurosmart*. Expected prices for a display card will range from €11 to €15, depending on complexity.

The SHL Group will focus on the setting up of production for markets in Europe, Asia and North America, as well as driving sales to smartcard manufacturers. Swecard will meanwhile be focusing on developing new products for the smartcard market. The SHL Group will start a separate company to encompass the production and sales of these cards. Both companies will now join forces in marketing and promotion efforts in order to reach global customers.
