SHL announced today that it will present at the Injectable Drug Delivery Conference on March 23, 2009. This exclusive event is held at the Le Meridien Hotel in London, England. Presenting for SHL will be Frank Isaksson, General Manager.

Frank Isaksson has been with SHL for more than 15 years. He has extensive knowledge and experience being involved with all the aspects concerning products from the concept stage to full-scale production process. He has a broad understanding of different stakeholders of finished combination products such as the drug company, syringe supplier, the filler, machine supplier and the regulatory authorities. This is the fourth time that Frank has been invited back to this conference to speak on medical device related issues.

Over the years, SHL has accumulated a vast amount of experience with regards to what it takes to launch a new auto-injector product.  SHL’s presentation will include an in-depth investigation into the different development steps, milestones and the crucial verification work that takes place at each step. Stability and clinical trial issues will also be discussed. In addition, classical scale up issues that every company meets when going from small volume to large volume production are explained.  And finally, solutions for how to successfully complete a development production project on time and on budget are addressed.
