SHL will be celebrating its 20th anniversary during the week of October 19th, 2009. To commemorate this milestone, several activities are being planned at company headquarters and SHL's global offices.

The month of October was chosen for this Anniversary in honor of CEO Roger Samuelsson's first visit to Taiwan. Since the earlier years of travelling and working in the region, the Swedish CEO has witnessed some dramatic growth at the company he helped to establish. The CEO stated, "Many people have contributed to our success and growth over the years. For me this celebration is a tribute to all of them. We are headed in the right direction and I see an exciting future for us."

In recent years, SHL has been significantly expanding facilities and recruiting new employees as the result of several recently signed long-term supply agreements. Now, with over 1,500 staff globally, the company has announced capital expenditures of 100 million USD and is forecasted to hire close to 1000 new employees over the next few years.

Outlining plans for the week-long anniversary celebration, Marketing Director Steven R. Kaufman went on to say, "This week highlights our commitment to charity and also gives us a great opportunity to unite our global offices by coordinating our activities. CSR is especially important to the people at SHL and as we grow larger we can do even more to help those in need. We will encourage all of our staff to devote time to charity during our anniversary"

A special Anniversary Logo has been designed to celebrate the week, many of SHL's promotional materials are being updated and SHL will distribute a limited edition anniversary book to special guests highlighting the company's development over the years. Most importantly, SHL will be recognizing select staff globally for their unique contributions to SHL's success with the presentation of a custom made "Crystal Award".
